I discovered magnificent closed gardens, secret alleys… I liked taking out my paper and my brush in places deserted but full of charm…<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n When I made this drawing, I was waiting at the metro station Gare d’Austerliz\u00a0and watching in direction of the viaduc of Austerliz\u00a0where railroads pass above the Seine river.<\/p>\n Somewhere, on banks of the Seine<\/p>\n I did mountain climbing when I was young. I admired the variety of mountain landscapes: \u00a0There could be beautiful places in this hostile environment.\u00a0The vegetation had almost completely disappeared, leaving only the broken rock, and ice…<\/p>\n Then, it seemed interesting to give to\u00a0these drawings a Chinese style…<\/p>\n Uspenski cathedral<\/p>\n Towards the library, Kaisaniemenkatu<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n I was born in the North of France. It is the region which has an industrial past thanks to the extraction of the coal. Brick houses were narrow with a garden where the worker, after a hard day’s work could make a little culture instead of hanging out in bars. I drew many gardens as those there. I like this mess of old rubbish, sheds, vegetation. They are small quiet paradises, completely in shelters of the noises of the street.<\/p>\n <\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n <\/div> I lived several years in Paris.
